Privacy Policy

Written to be read, not skipped. It describes what the advice tool keeps (nothing), how support messages and previously submitted notes are handled, and what we never collect.

Effective 18 October 2026Minimal account data · no advertising trackers · no stored advisor conversations

01

The short version

We built this site to collect as little about you as possible. In plain terms:

  • Membership accounts store sign-in details and the records needed to manage paid access. We do not ask for a display name or avatar.
  • Nothing you type into the advisor is written to storage by us; the advisor does not require an account.
  • Support messages and previously submitted contact notes are used only to respond to you. The homepage no longer offers a consultation form.
  • No advertising trackers are added. Account sign-in uses browser storage; the payment provider may use essential storage and fraud-prevention signals.
  • Photos in the CherishMyPrivacy photo app are checked on your own device and are not uploaded to us.
02

What this policy covers

This policy applies to cherishmyprivacy.net and its Identity Cleanup Advisor, the tools presented on this site, and the CherishMyPrivacy photo app. It describes what information we handle, what we do not, and how those choices are made. Where a tool works differently from what you might expect from a typical website, we say so plainly rather than burying it.

03

What we deliberately do not collect

We do not ask for, and have no reason to hold, the following:

  • Government ID numbers or medical records. Never send your account password in a contact note or advisor message.
  • Your home address or date of birth in support messages. The payment provider may request billing details for payment and tax purposes.
  • Your photos, contacts, or the contents of your device.
  • Your browsing history on other sites, or a persistent advertising identifier.

If a future service genuinely needs one of these, we would ask for it explicitly, explain why, and update this policy before that happens.

04

When you use the Identity Cleanup Advisor

The advisor is a conversation, not an account. Here is exactly what happens to what you type:

  • Your message is sent over an encrypted connection to our server and then to our automated reply service so it can compose a reply.
  • The request is sent with instructions that the provider must not retain the conversation or use it to train its models.
  • We do not save the conversation. There is no transcript, no log of your question attached to you, and no record you would need us to delete.
  • The thread exists only in your browser for that visit. Closing the tab or reloading the page clears it.
  • To keep things manageable, a single request carries at most the last twenty messages, and any one message is trimmed to 4,000 characters.

A request, not a rule: please don't type passwords, ID numbers, or sensitive records. The advisor never needs them, and once a message is sent it has already left your device — even though we do not keep it.

The advisor offers guidance only. It does not act on your behalf, and no one can guarantee that a third party will remove anything.

05

Support messages and previous contact notes

The homepage consultation form has been removed. Notes submitted previously included your first name, email address, chosen topic, and optional message. Those notes remain in private storage accessible only to the site owner. Visitors cannot list, change, or delete them. Personal identity-cleanup advice is available through the advisor instead.

For general questions, guidance using the site or apps, technical help, or privacy requests, email us at forever@cherishmyprivacy.net.

Still true: please don't include passwords, ID numbers, or sensitive records in the note. We never need them, and a short description is enough to begin.

06

The photo app

The CherishMyPrivacy photo app is designed around your device. Scanning happens locally: images are checked on your phone rather than sent to a server, flagged images stay blurred until you choose to look at them, and anything you move into the vault is protected by a PIN you set. Because the work is local, removing the app removes what it held.

07

Information collected automatically

Like any site on the internet, the server that hosts this site keeps ordinary technical records needed to deliver and protect it — typically an IP address, browser and device type, the pages requested, and the time of the request. These exist to keep the site running and to spot abuse, not to build a profile of you.

We do not run third-party advertising or analytics scripts on this site, so nothing is shared with ad networks for targeting purposes.

For previous form submissions, we kept a one-way fingerprint of the sender's network address, so automated abuse can be spotted. The address itself is never stored, and the fingerprint cannot be turned back into it.

08

Third-party services you should know about

  • Message processor. Advisor messages are processed by an automated service that composes the reply, under a no-retention instruction.
  • Web fonts. Typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts, so your browser contacts Google and Google can see your IP address as part of that request.
  • Hosting. The site is served by the platform that hosts it, which keeps the technical records described above.
  • Links out. The advisor and this site point to outside resources — for example Google's “Results about you” tool, or a data-removal service's own website. Once you follow a link, that company's policy applies, not ours.
09

Referral and affiliate links

Right now the advisor gives advice only and shows no vendor links. We are waiting on partner approvals before any service is recommended by name.

If and when referral links return, they will be labelled clearly next to the recommendation, they may carry tracking parameters that identify this site, and a partner may pay us a commission if you choose to sign up. That would never change the price you pay, and it would not change the advice: free steps come first, and paid services stay a suggestion rather than a requirement.

17

Accounts and memberships

Account sign-in is provided through Lovable Cloud using email and password, Google, or Lovable. Passwords are processed by the authentication service, not saved as readable contact notes. Social sign-in providers handle their own authentication data.

We store an account identifier, membership plan, payment-provider customer and subscription identifiers, subscription status, billing dates and any scheduled plan change. Per-app trial records can include the app, start time and expiry time. These records support access checks; other visitors cannot read or change them.

Stripe processes payments, billing details, receipts, tax information and fraud-prevention signals under its own privacy policy. We do not store full payment card details. Payment-provider records may be retained for legal, tax and accounting obligations. Account and membership records are retained while needed to provide the service and meet those obligations; contact us to request access, correction or deletion.

The current Android downloads have not yet been connected to membership checks. Updating account and trial access does not require uploading private photos.

10

How long we keep things

Contact notes are kept so the site owner can read them and answer. Account and billing retention is described above; advisor conversations are not stored by us at all, so there is nothing to delete there. Hosting records are kept only as long as the platform needs them for security and operation.

Ask us to remove a note you sent — see Contact below — and we will confirm once it is gone.

11

Your choices and rights

If you are covered by privacy laws such as the GDPR or a US state privacy law, you keep the usual rights to access, correct, or delete personal information — and you can always ask us what we hold. We may verify account ownership before responding, and explain any legal reasons that prevent deleting particular billing records.

We do not sell or share personal information for advertising, and there is no “do not sell” situation to opt out of.

12

Security

Traffic between you and this site is encrypted. Our stronger protection, though, is design: services that do not collect sensitive information cannot leak it. No method is perfect, and we will not claim otherwise — so the simplest rule stays yours to use: don't share passwords or ID numbers anywhere, including with us.

13

Children

This site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will remove it.

14

Changes to this policy

When how we handle information changes, this page is updated and the effective date at the top changes with it. Material changes will be called out here rather than left for you to notice.

15
